How to deal with knee pain

Dr. Rachana Vora : Hi, my name is Dr. Rachana Vora. Today, we'll be talking about how to cure knee pain. These are the commonly seen knee conditions and knee joint pain causes. Types of knee pain: First, osteoarthritis knee, which is commonly seen in elderly people. It's because of wear and tear of the knee joint. Second, runner's knee, which is commonly seen in marathon runners. Third, ACL injury, commonly seen in football players. Fourth, any other patella injuries.

Now, I'm going to demonstrate a few knee pain relief exercises to relieve the knee pain. So, first is the knee press. Press your knee over the cushion, contract your quadriceps. Hold it up for five counts—one, two…and then, release.

Next is knee bending. You bend your knee to the maximum and straighten it down. Repeat this ten times. Do it thrice a day.

Next exercise is leg raise. You raise your leg straight up, get it down. Repeat this ten times and do it thrice a day.

Next exercise is prone knee bending. You bend your knee and get it down. Repeat this ten times, each leg. Do this thrice a day.
